Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Han Cholo's designer, Brandon Schoolhouse, grew up immersed in the sub culture of Hollywood's music and art scene. In high school, Brandon took classes for metal works, and always had a knack for designing jewelry for himself and friends. While working with "Grand Royal", Brandon learned how to DJ, and thus Brandon's alter ego, Han Cholo, was born. After several years working for the Beastie Boys, he parted ways with Grand Royal, and continued on making a name for himself spinning at LA's hottest nightspots and the most exclusive parties. During the day, working as a wardrobe stylist Brandon styled music videos, magazine editorials, print ads and album packaging. Brandon further developed his drawing abilities by designed jewelry that he would used to accessorize on set and personal clientele. After plenty of his celebrity friends convincing Brandon to create a jewelry line and finally partnering up with long time Parisian jeweler and friend, Guillaume Pajolec, the Han Cholo Jewelry line was born straight out of Guillaume's Hollywood garage/studio. Han Cholo pieces are inspired by Rock N' Roll, Science Fiction, Fantasy Art, and the Los Angeles Culture and became one of the most in demand accessories line amongst Hollywood fashionistas and celebrities.
